Put your dancing shoes on for this Beat Latino! It’s time to celebrate our tambor, tambó, drum! From all over the Americas, we celebrate and thank Africa for the most undeserved gift of the percussion that permeates music from Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba…and pretty much everywhere! ¡Gracias, Africa! This drum love Beat Latino came about in a stream of musical consciousness as we enjoyed the new music created by Colombia’s Ghetto Kumbé, and the cover of their new album graces this week’s Beat Latino.
