When you close your eyes and imagine your favorite cities, from hometowns to traveled delights, what comes to mind? Surely, sights and smells, but also sounds…each city seems to have a special and unique soundtrack. Inspired by Camilo Lara’s latest album (and including a part of my conversation with the renowned and uber-creative Lara, aka MIS – Mexican Institute of Sound) which is a love letter to the vibrant, unique capital of Mexico, this week’s Beat Latino heads to special cities all over the America’s to share the beats of their streets.
